LOL Most retarded scam ever. According to the tyrian green pricing sticky, it goes for 3-5k and it's mispelled.

OMG, thats uncanny. How can Anet ever let such an obvious scam continue. Those two items are virtually identical!!!!!! *glare*

The soul stone = a purplish, shiny, glimering rock.

Soul stone = something that looks like an eye!

Who in their right mind wouldnt click to trade, see the scammer sticking a dirty looking eye in the trade window and think "Hang on a minute.... "!

As another poster said, you would either have to be retarded, or not be paying any attention at all, to fall for that.

If your stupid enough to fall for that, then you deserve it.

You would also expect that if someone is wanting to buy "The soul stone", they must have done their research and know what it looks like. So they would know whether it was a big, ugly looking eye thing.

freek, trust me i know

i think after 16 months of game i deserve that

im just saying in the last few days ive seen lots of fuss about soulstone. now there nothing new about those items, so... i just wonder.

all i can see is that soul reaping monk using hb might get some extra duration on ha out of it. but ppl tring to buy it for 60k? and yes i sew a guy spamming TOa for an hour with wtb wtb,

so again.. my q is: whats the big fuss out of the blue?

p.s i have a soul stone from back in the days when boon prot was leet so i know how it looks taste and even sound, ive just traded with that guy to see if im missing anything cuz the just sounded bad to me paying 60k for that ( even if it was the real one) (lol he said is a discount and guru say its worth 85k...lol )

it also isn't worth 60k. Thats way too overpriced imo for The Soulstone.

It's probably the same people that fall for the Glob of Ectoplasm for the "new fangled" Frozen Glob of Ectoplasm trade...

basically, some buddy of seller shoults extraordinary WTB to make people believe.

Its easy to fall for it ... random person shouts WTS junk, 20k while someone else WTB junk 80k ... chance are, you will see it as opportunity for quick easy buck that you dotn want to miss, buy junk from WTS guy, but then WTB guy just ignores you or tells you he got one already.

then both WTs and WTB guys share profit.

Basically, yeah, its scam.

Default NOT necessarily a scam...

You didn't say how much you saw the soul stones (two words) from the Echovald Forest sell for, but it's not a scam unless the price was seriously inflated. It's common practice to buy and sell soulstones and other drops used for trading with collectors. I've seen the price vary considerably determined by what the buyer is willing to pay. They're not a real common drop, but they're common enough I personally wouldn't pay more than 100g each. Hmmmm... Yiwong, the collector in Imperial Sanctum, has a flame artifact for 5 soul stones I think I might get.

The 60-80k for The (Gardock) Soulstone (one word) is a super inflated price. Guru PC has it at 3-5K.

Agree with Lakatz. It might not neccessarily be a scam. Might just be a somebody who thought you really were looking for a soul stone (collector item). When Factions first came out, some guy in alliance chat spammed that he was looking to buy a soulstone and I thought he meant the collectors drop.

Now, obviously if the guy in alliance chat had said he was paying 60k, I would have realized he was probablly talking about something else. But unless you specify that you are looking for the green, there is no way to know if this is an active scam or not.
